About the Ice Rink

The Topsfield Recreation Department purchased a 45'x90' ice skating rink in 2021 that is free and available to the public to use throughout the winter season at the Topsfield Town Common. The rink will be open to ALL ages with the main use being for figure skating. Although, there will be designated 'Puck & Stick' hours which allows the use of hockey pucks and sticks and only during these designated hours. Click the 'Ice Rink Rules and Hours' link about for more information.

This recreational opportunity made possible through a generous gift from the KVL Foundation. Thank you to the following individuals and departments for helping Topsfield Recreation install the ice rink, help maintain the ice and for your continued support and assistance:

Damian Renzello- Porta-Rinx

and our many wonderful community members who volunteer their time to help maintain the ice rink!

The Topsfield Ice Rink is overseen by the Recreation Department but is setup, broken down and maintained by volunteers. If you need hours completed for school, have a love for ice skating or hockey, and enjoy being an active member of your community...then you would make a wonderful ice rink volunteer! To become an Ice Rink volunteer, please complete the volunteer application and submit to Stephanie Bilotti, via email or snail mail: Recreation Dept., 8 W. Common St., Topsfield, MA 01983. *If under the age of 18 years old, a letter from a parent or guardian allowing participation to maintain the ice rink will need to be submitted with the Volunteer Application.**
