The Topsfield Public Works Compost Facility is Open!

The compost facility at Topsfield Public Works (279 Boston Street) is now open.

• Hours are 9am-1pm.
• Purchase your 2024 compost facility permit at City Hall Systems.
• PLEASE NOTE:  Starting in 2024, Topsfield will use a new tracking technology for compost facility permits. Residents will no longer need to keep their email receipts or provide a physical pass to show proof of purchase. 
• The compost facility will close on November 16th, 2024.

ONLY yard waste is accepted:

• Grass
• Leaves
• Small Brush (Up to 4" diameter) 
• No stumps or logs please
