School District Preparedness Exercise
The Tri-Town School Union is conducting a full-scale evacuation exercise on Friday, May 20th, 2022 in partnership with the Topsfield Police and Fire Departments.
This full-scale exercise will simulate and practice the emergency evacuation of students and staff from Steward Elementary School, all of whom will be brought to Proctor Elementary School by the bus company that oversees daily transportation for the district. It will test the current evacuation and reunification plans, as well as a crisis alert system used by the schools (Crisis Go). The exercise will be both multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional and will involve participants and observers from local, regional, and state agencies. It will utilize Incident Command protocols and resources from within the NERAC region and benefit all regional partners.
