Keep Well & Blood Pressure Clinics

Free to seniors and residents 18 and over, the Visiting Nurse Association of the North Shore sponsors Keep Well and Blood Pressure Clinics most Thursday mornings at various locations around Topsfield:

  • 2nd Thursday: Town Hall                                 10:00 AM
  • 3rd Wednesday: Little Brook Village            9:00 AM

The VNA nurses provide health assessments, blood pressure checks, heart and lung exams, pulse checks, nutrition and medication counseling.

Appointments may be made by calling the COA office at 978-887-1523, and take place approximately every 30 mins.

Bone Density Clinic

About once per year, the VNA offers a Bone Density Clinic at our programming site.  The convenient date will be announced early so that 15 minute appointments can be scheduled.  The test requires that a person place his/her heel in a device; the results are instantaneous.  Advice will be given depending on the outcome.

Flu Clinic

Flu vaccine clinics, sponsored by the VNA Care and the Topsfield Board of Health, are held each fall at the Emerson Center (9 East Common Street) and in early December at the Holiday on the Green celebration.  The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) recommend an annual flu vaccine for all elders.  For more details, contact the VNA Care Network at (800) 457-8999  x1230.
