COA Supporting Boards & Committees
Council on Aging Board of Directors
The Topsfield Council on Aging Board of Directors is comprised of 11 devoted volunteers who attend monthly meetings in order to guide the direction of the Topsfield COA, to make policy decisions, and to vote on expenditures. The dedicated board members support Topsfield senior citizens by assisting in activities and at events. The COA Board provides oversight for the department that serves a third of Topsfield's population.
Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging
The Friends of the Topsfield Council On Aging is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization devoted to raising money that supplements the COA's budget. One hundred percent of donated funds support programs and services that regularly enhance the lives of Topsfield seniors. Although the Annual Membership Drive is held in the spring, Topsfieild residents and family members of Topsfield seniors living anywhere, are encouraged to contribute at a level that seems appropriate. Sponsored by the Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging and modeled after the state Silver Dove Awards, the Silver Tree Award is presented each year to an exceptional volunteer who has served Topsfield seniors at the highest level. The awards are typically presented each spring at the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast. The Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging sponsors several featured events each year, including Family Dinner in the spring, Octoberfest in the fall, and a special evening just before the holiday season. Contact Chris Roman at (978) 887-2193 for more information. Consider a gift on behalf of a living or departed friend or loved one to the Living Memorial Fund of the Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging. Friends and family of those you have honored will be notified of your gift and all donations are acknowledged by the non-profit. Donations should be made payable to the Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging and mailed to:
