Description:
The Topsfield Council on Aging is a municipally appointed volunteer board authorized under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40, Section 8B. The Council's major responsibilities include the setting of local policy for administration of elder programs and services, serving as advocates for elders and educating the community at large about the needs and resources affecting their lives.
The Council on Aging provides programs and services to the age 60+ population and caregivers including nutrition, transportation, social and educational programs, information and referral services, elder protection programs, volunteer opportunities, wellness programs, support services and outreach.
Senior Services
The Senior Scoop is the COA's monthly newsletter distributed free to all Topsfield Citizens (Age 60+). It contains updated health information, community news, volunteer opportunities and the COA's monthly calendar of events. Senior Scoop Newsletter (www.seniorpublishing.com)
